Errors Corrected
Good news and bad news….
The good news is that SketchList 3D optimizer caught the fact that some one here (me) made mistakes on the video about making the base cabinets.
The bad news is that there were indeed mistakes. They arose from the times I cloned a board and changed the orientation. What I didn’t notice was then the grain direction is set incorrectly. I changed this with this new video. You need not watch it again unless you are very, very details. Sorry.
The old video was V4 Assembly 1 on YouTube.
We are also changing that in the software so when you change orientation – say from a tall vertical to a long horizontal – SketchList 3D software will re-set the grain direction is needed.

My woodworking love started in 6th grade in school shop class. I have a BS in Industrial Technology and an MBA. At my first job, I computerized a production accounting system – the results were positive, and I loved the challenges. I left the corporate world to begin woodworking full time and one of my first decisions was to use CAD for my designs. I found that CAD did not meet all my needs. I wrote a specification of what I wanted and turned it into a prototype. SketchList 3D incorporated in 2007. We completed programming and launched. Today thousands of woodworkers use SketchList 3D.
